HARD WORK PAYS OF FOR U13's

posted 9 Feb 2015, 13:17 by Rosie Twohig

Our U13's were the last team in the club to take to the field for the 2014 season, when they took on Milford in the Avondhu Final. Banteer started stronger with some excellent passages of play though the opening quarter, the Banteer defence kept on top of any pressure Milford threw their way. The second half saw Milford put up a tough fight but the work, the young Banteer side had put in to training over the past few weeks had really paid off, looking very sharp of the attack in the closing stages of the game. Banteer ran out winners on a final score line of Banteer 4-3 Milford -2.
The cup was presented to captains Roisin Foley and Mairead O Sullivan, who thank trainers Rosie Twohig and Karen O Keeffe for all the work they'd put in with the team.

Team Niamh Kiely, Kaitlyn Kelleher, Deirdre Leahy, Amy Lyons, Mairead O Sullivan, Aoife o Connor, Aoife Murphy, Hollie Corkery, Elizabeth Philpott, Aoife Ambrose, Roisin Foley, Kate Foley, Grace O Brien, Niamh O Connor, Eva Tully, Heather O Connor.
