Juniors continue their unbeaten run

Juniors continue their unbeaten run as they ease past Rockban in Whitechurch last Sunday.

Setting the game at a fast tempo and leaving Whitechurch with very little time to settle the opening scores came from Sarah O Reilly and Shelly Twohig, with Denise Fallon raising the first green flag blowing the slitor and Karen O Keeffe to the back of the net

Banteer continued to use full advantage of a strong wind as some long range points coming from Una Twohig and Aoife Leader before Rosie Twohig found the back of the net for Banteer approaching the half time whistle.

Banteer found themselves working a lot harder against the wind in the second half, but never found themselves in much trouble due to the work rate of Laura Murphy, Kate O Donoghue, Marie McAuliffe and Kate Mannix in defence.

A second half goal came from Karen O Keeffe followed by excellent points from Aisling O Keeffe and Eleanor Twohig sealed the deal for Banteer.

Final score Banteer 3-12 Rockban -02.

Panel; N Long, M McAuliffe, K O Donoghue, K Mannix, R Twohig, L Murphy, U Twohig, S Twohig, A Leader, E Twohig, S O Reilly, D Fallon, K O Keeffe, A O Keeffe, V Withers, L Dunlea.

Our minors were unlucky on Saturday evening when they played Na Piarsaigh at home. Despite best efforts from all players it wasn't enough to see off the challenge of a very strong Na Piarsaigh side.

Training for all age groups continue on Tuesday evenings from 6pm - 7 pm
