Our Juniors progress to their second County Championship final in two years. Banteer dug deep in a hard fought battle against Glen Rovers in the Junior B County semi-final played in Castle Road Mahon on Sunday evening last.

The opening stages saw both teams work hard to win possession in all positions of the field. Banteer were first to raise the green flag with an excellent goal in the opening quarter. Working hard to get scores, Banteer added to their tally with converted frees before the Glen found the back of the Banteer net to leave 3 points between the sides on the half time whistle.

The Banteer girls came flying out the traps on the restart dominating the first 15 mins, finding great space up front with a combination of precision passing and excellent work rate throughout Banteer refused to take the foot of the peddle. Despites best efforts form the Glen throwing everything they had at Banteer in the closing stages of the game the lead proved too much. In front of a large following Banteer closed the game on a scoreline of Banteer 3-11 Glen Rovers 2-5

Banteer will now face Cobh the County Final that is due to be played the 19/20th of September
