Displaying 2014-06-11 20.16.28.jpgLast week we saw the U14 hurling squad claim another victory, their fifth of this league campaign. This time it was against our near neighbours Dromtarriffe in the sun soaked top pitch of the sports ground. In a keenly contested affair it looked as if it would go to the wire but in the second half the Banteer boys were able to stand against a concentrated effort by the Dromtarriffe boys and then countered picked off a couple of well worked goals to finally kill the affair. The team is to be commended for their overall team effort but some of the younger team members really stood tall today. Well done to all concerned but a tough game is on the way in the shape of Granard Gaels but if the team goes into this with their usual heart then they should hold no fear!
