Banteer Progress to Final

posted 6 Aug 2014, 03:41 by BanteerLyre GAA
Banteer have qualified for the final of the JAHC after victory over Castlemagner on Friday night. What ended up being a poor game, early scores from Denis Roche including a well taken goal put daylight between the sides. Castlemagner could never bridge this gap over the course of the hour. Due to good defending from Brian O Keeffe and Denis Mannix they found it hard to penetrate the Banteer defence. Upfront Paul Cremin ensured good supply to the inside line, but as the intensity drained from the game the quality also departed.
Banteer 1-13 Castlemagmer 0-06
Nevertheless, Banteer are back where they want to be, Kilbrin are the opponents in the final with a fixture date pending Corks progress in the hurling.
